“Love is scary: it changes; it can go away. That’s the part of the risk. I don’t want to be scared anymore.” – Jenny Han.

In mid-August, this  classic teen rom-com was released. This Netflix original movie has caught the public eye around the world due to its sweet love story. The movie starts off with the main character, Lara Jean Covey. She has written five letters in total expressing her love for different boys she has loved in the past. One day, her letters were exposed and her beloved’s went to confront her. A particular guy, named Peter Kavinsky decided to take matters into his own hands due to his recent break up. Lara and Peter agreed to have a fake relationship to make his ex-girlfriend jealous but then ended up falling for each other.

In my opinion, this movie is truly worth seeing. As a teenager, it shows how young love exists. This film can demonstrate that even if someone doesn’t like you at first, they can end up falling in love with you.

This is one of the letters that Lara Jean wrote to one of her beloved’s, who later became her boyfriend. By: Daniela Florindez, 12th grade
